Margaret M. Gonzalez, 96, passed away November 13, 2018 at the Samaritan Summit Village where she had been a resident
She was born on January 10, 1922 in the Bronx, NY, daughter of Harry and Elizabeth (Luckert) Rush. She moved to Queens, NY where she spent most of her life and married her first husband. He was killed while serving in France during WWII.
Margaret married Gustave Gonzalez and following his retirement the couple moved to Florida. Mr. Gonzalez passed away in 1991. She moved to Watertown in 1995 and resided in Curtis Apartments for ten years before moving into a nursing home.
She enjoyed reading and loved politics and was a “Strong Republican”.
Among her survivors are her son in law, Thomas James Visconti, Watertown, a granddaughter and her husband, Laura and Joshua Perry, Manlius, three great grandchildren, Ronan, Bella and Tommy.
She is predeceased by her daughter, Margaret M. Visconti who passed away June 4, 2018.
Arrangements are with the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, 117 N. Massey St., Watertown.
There will be no calling hours or funeral service. It was her wish to be cremated and buried with her husband in Royal Palm Memorial Garden in West Palm Beach.
