Margaret McCullough Obituary

Margaret S. “Margie” McCullough, 58, of 132 E. Remington St., Black River, passed away December 26, 2018 at her home.

She was born on February 11, 1960 in El Paso, TX, daughter of Margaret Pavlas.  She attended school in El Paso, TX and later met Steven McCullough while he was serving in the US Army and stationed at Fort Bliss.  The couple married on March 14, 1987 and resided throughout the US and Germany while he served his career in the military.  He retired in 1993 at Fort Drum and the couple continued to reside in Black River.  Margie was a project manager at Minfelt Building Supply, White’s Lumber and 84 Lumber up until 2015.  She also enjoyed reading, gardening and loved her animals.

Mr. McCullough was a mechanic at Watertown Springs for 24 years, retiring in 2017.

Among her survivors are husband, Steven D. McCullough, Black River, two daughters and a son in law, Daniele N. and Ron Pilkington, OH, Samantha D. McCullough, Watertown, two grandchildren, Maddie and Cole, her sister and brother in law, Judy and John Reiff, OK, her beloved St. Bernard, Bullwinkle and her black lab, Murphy.

She had two brothers Michael and David Pavlas pass before her.

Calling hours will be held 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 2 at the Bruce Funeral Home 131 Maple St., Black River.
