Patricia M. Walton

Patricia M. Walton, 66, of 142 West Remington St., Black River, passed March 5, 2018 at Hospice of Jefferson County at the Ellis Farm, where she had been a resident the past four months.

Born on February 17, 1952 in Watertown, daughter of Leslie and Rita Walton, she graduated from Carthage Central School in 1970 and Jefferson Community College in 1972.

She worked as a finance clerk for the Agricultural Insurance Company from 1972 until closing.  She held temporary positions for Carthage Central School District, St. Regis Paper Co., and Jefferson County.  Miss Walton was a buyer five years for the House of the Good Samaritan, leaving to become a purchasing agent for the Department of the Army at Fort Drum.  During her career at Fort Drum she took several courses and received many prestigious awards.  She received her certification in purchasing from the Department of the Army in 1994.

Miss Walton was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church and an inspector for the Board of Elections.

She enjoyed the outdoors and crafts.

Among her survivors are her sister and brother in law, Sharon K. and Glenn F. Fralick, Adams Center, a niece, Jodi Dellis, Adams Center, her aunt, Judy McDermott, Norwich, CT, and several cousins.

Besides her parents she is predeceased by her niece, Nikki Fralick.

Arrangements are with the Bruce Funeral Home, Black River.  There will be no calling hours.  A Funeral Mass will be said at St. Paul’s Catholic Church at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be in Black River Cemetery.
