Robert A. Buker, 77, of Natural Bridge, passed away June 18, 2018 at the Jefferson County Hospice Residence at the Ellis Farm, with his loving children by his side.
He was born on April 3, 1941 in Theresa, NY, son of Arnold and Pearl (Bercume) Buker. He attended school in Philadelphia and following school worked at the Philadelphia Milk Plant. He went on to work at the Agricultural Insurance Co for five years, Knowlton Brothers for ten years and twenty three years at Fort James, retiring in 1998.
He was known for his love of playing guitar and entertaining the North Country with his numerous old rock bands. He also had a passion for fishing and hunting. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and will be remembered for his complete dedication while raising his children.
He married Penny Babcock, the marriage ended in divorce.
He is survived by his children and their families, Robert W.and Kim Buker, Carthage, April and Christopher Garcia, Norfolk, VA, his six grandchildren, Robert M., Ryan, Madison, Stella, Christopher and Caelah, two great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, a brother, Gregory Buker and a sister, Arlene O’Riley passed before him.
Arrangements are with the Bruce Funeral Home, Black River. There will be no calling hours or funeral service. It was Robert’s wishes to be cremated and burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
