Obituary

Adolph "Fred" K. Fromm, 79 of Dexter passed away Saturday morning at the Samaritan Medical Center where he had been admitted on August 1st. Adolph was born June 4, 1936 in Dampfach, Germany the son of Ludwig and Anna Marie Durrback Fromm. He was educated in Germany. Adolph entered the US Army on November 24, 1961 and retired on November 21, 1977 after serving in Viet Nam where he received the Bronze Star while serving with the Military Police. Adolph married Joyce A. Watson on June 10, 1967 at St. Patricks' Church in Watertown. Following his military retirement, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service at the Annex in Watertown. He is survived by his wife Joyce and four children: Frank and Betina Drexler of Germany, Frederick Fromm of Florida, Connie Fromm and her fiancé' Dave of New York, Steven and Katie Fromm of Ft. Langley, VA currently in Kuwait. Grandchildren Ronald and Whitney McMillian, Ryan McMillian, Noah Chapman, Mitchell Fromm, Meghan Fromm, Stefanie Juten, Daniel Drexler and three great granddaughters Alexa and Callie McMillian and Emma Juten also survive. A sister Irmgard Gross of Germany survives along with nieces and nephews. . He was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters. A memorial mass will be held Thursday August 13th at Immaculate Conception Church of Brownville at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Sackets Harbor Military Cemetery with military honors. There will be one hour of calling hours at the church prior to the mass. Donations may be made to Richard E. Winter Cancer Center 5 Lyon Pl. Ogdensburg, NY 13669.
