Agnes M. Merritt, 68, of 33608 Doghill Road, LaFargeville, passed May 21, 2014 at the Samaritan Medical Center.

Calling hours will be 7-9 Monday, May 26 at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, Watertown.

She was born on November 3, 1945 in Watertown, NY, daughter of Edwin and Margaret Turner Evans.

She married Lyal R. Merritt on November 1, 1969 in Watertown.

Mr. Merritt was a mechanic for Jefferson County DPW, he passed October 24, 2009.

Mrs. Merritt was a homemaker and enjoyed working on her home and doing yard work.

Among her survivors are two daughters and a son in law, Sharon M. Merritt, Dayton, OH, Renea S. and Jeremy Elder , Dayton, OH; three sons, Daniel L. Merritt, LaFargeville, Francis W. Evans and his companion Linda Vrooman, Watertown, David W. Evans, Watertown; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister and brother in law, Rose and Eric Webb, NY; two brothers and their wives, Edward and Becky Evans, Lowville, Jerry and Sue Evans, Watertown; several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband a brother, William Evans, died before her.
