Obituary

Anibel G. Williams, age 86 formerly of Glen Park passed away Friday November 11th at 5:32 P.M. on Pillar Point. Anibel was born October 22, 1925 in Watertown the daughter of Joseph and Mable Persia Galloway. She graduated from Watertown High School. She married Chester Leon "Red" Williams on February 2, 1946 in Watertown. The couple lived in Glen Park and Mr. Williams died June 19, 1979 in a construction accident. Anibel was an Assembler at Northland Electric in Watertown where she retired in 1980. She was a member of Brownville Legion Auxiliary, past member of Rebecca's, Eastern Stars and Glen Park Fireman's Auxiliary. Anibel loved spending time with family and friends at the shore on Pillar Point and enjoyed watching wildlife out her windows. While her greatest joy was visiting with her extended family, she also loved traveling and visiting the casino. She was able to enjoy her final birthday trip to Turning Stone in October with her daughters Diane, Mary and Patty. Her family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Pogee, Karen Neville and all the staff at his office for their kindness and outstanding care they have provided to Mom for the past 3 years. We would also like to thank Hospice and their staff of the PCU at Samaritan Medical Center for all the care and kindness they have given to all of us during the last 10 days of her illness. She is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Donald Judith Bailey of Virginia, Diane Strader of Chaumont, Mrs. Gary Patricia Shatraw of Dexter and Mary Netto of Dexter. She has fifteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother Paul Galloway, a sister Rosemary Bonderinko and a son-in-law Matthew Netto. A memorial service will be held Thursday November 17th at 7:00 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with Rev. Jim Hayes officiating. Calling hours will be from 5:00 -7:00 P.M. prior to the service. Donations may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County. As per Anibel's request a large gathering will be planned at the lake next summer in her honor.
