Anita T. Mills, 104, passed September 19, 2014 at the Samaritan Keep Nursing Home where she had been a resident.

The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, September 22nd at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, Watertown, with the Rev. Toby Schilling officiating.

Burial will follow at the Grove Cemetery in LaFargeville.

Calling hours will be Monday, Noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born on May 22, 1910 in Depauville, NY, daughter of John and Inez E. Bertram Leiterman, she attended school in Chaumont, NY.

She married Melven J. Mills on January 1, 1934 in Carthage, NY.  They resided in Chaumont and moved to Brownville in the mid 30's.  They resided in the village until purchasing a small farm on the Bonnie Road which they operated for several years.  They moved to Watertown in 1987.

Mrs. Mills was a homemaker and her husband worked for J.P. Lewis Paper Co. for 38 years.  Following his retirement they wintered in Lakeland, FL for several years.  Mr. Mills passed October 15, 1997.

Among her survivors are her daughter, Awanda I. Mills, Watertown; a son and daughter in law, LaVern E. and Barbara Mills, Brownville; four grandchildren, Dawn Mills, Gary Mills, Donna Martel and Tasha Richards; 7 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
