September 18 , 2016 WATERTOWN, N.Y. —  Anna G. Gill, 78, of 704 Academy St., Watertown, NY, passed Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016 at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester. Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, at Bruce Funeral Home, Black River. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery in Natural Bridge. Born Sept. 4, 1938, in West Carthage, daughter of John B. And Bertha G. Layton Gill Sr., she attended Carthage Central School. Following school she babysat for many years, from 1965 to 1975 she worked for Carthage Area Hospital housekeeping department, in 1975 she began working For Samaritan Keep Nursing Home house keeping, retiring in 2000. Among her survivors are two brothers and their wives, John B. And Joyce Gill Jr., Balrico, FL, Donald L. And Linda Gill, Felts Mills; a sister and brother-in-law, Ruth J. Bowery, Syracuse, Ken Grosse, Watertown; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins. A sister, Mary Grosse, died before her. Donations may be made to Hospice of Rochester.
