Arnold J. Thompson, 80 of County Rte 189 Adams, passed away Sunday morning March 11 ^th at his home under the care of his family and Hospice of Jefferson County. Arnold was born June 29, 1937 in Dexter the son of Ernest and Viola Woodard Thompson.  He graduated from Sackets Harbor High School. He married Sue Ann Stephenson July 20, 1974 in Florida.  The couple lived in Sackets Harbor and the last ten years in Adams. Arnold was a Machine Tender for Brownville Specialty Paper until her retired in 2008. Surviving is his wife Sue and the following children: Julie (Timothy) Bombay of Tampa, FL, Arnold Jr. of South Carolina, Timothy (Reba) Thompson of South Carolina, Patrick (Marsha) Thompson of Adams, Tabitha Vinson of Spokane, Washington, Gerald Walts of Lancaster, PA, 15 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.  Brothers and a sister include: Marlene Elmer of Adams, Kenneth Thompson of Watertown, Gary Thompson of SC, Michael Thompson of Watertown and Ernest Thompson of Arizona. He was predeceased by sisters Shirley Scee and Sally Jessmer. According to Arnolds' wishes he will be cremated and no calling hours or funeral will be held.  Contributions may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County 1398 Gotham St. Watertown, NY 13601.
