Obituary

Austin W. Leggett, 23, of 121 Flower Ave., Watertown, passed January 4, 2015 in Watertown.

Born on January 21, 1991 in St. Petersburg, FL, son of David W. Leggett and Laura L. VanNocker, he attended Winter Haven High School.

He entered the US Army on April 26, 2010 and arrived at Fort Drum in 2011.  He was deployed to Afghanistan from January 2013 to September 2013.

He married Mary "Katie" Widner of Auburndale, FL on October 18, 2013, the couple resided in Watertown.

Austin enjoyed archery, hunting, snowboarding, wakeboarding, fishing, and playing guitar.

Among his survivors are his wife Mary "Katie" Leggett, Auburndale, FL; father and stepmother, David W. and Kathy Leggett, Winter Haven, FL; Mother and stepfather, Laura L. and Dr. Jeffry Barnes, Winter Haven, FL; paternal grandparents, Frank and Eloise Leggett, Lakeland, FL; maternal grandmother and her husband, Peggy and Anthony Dorta, Tampa, maternal grandfather and his wife, Clete and Anne Van Nocker, Cape Coral, FL; his brother, Tyler L. Leggett, Orlando, FL; a sister and brother in law, Stacia and Geoff Parker, Tampa; a niece, Leyton Parker; a nephew, Sebastian Parker; two stepbrothers, David and Bryson Macchione, FL; his dog, Ginger and his cat, Chloe.

Arrangements are with the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, Watertown.  There will be no local calling hours or funeral service.  All services will be held in Winter Haven, Florida at the Oakridge Funeral Home.
