Barbara C.  Gilbo, 85, of Watertown, passed April 10, 2017 at the Colonial Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Rome where she has resided since 2013.

The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, April 13 at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, Watertown.

Calling hours will precede the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in the N. Watertown Cemetery.

Born on January 17, 1932 in Chaumont, NY, daughter of Emmett and Mildred (Evie) Horton, she graduated from Chaumont High School in 1949.

She married Harold E. Gilbo on June 1, 1957 at the Chaumont Presbyterian Church.  He passed in 2006.

Mrs. Gilbo worked fifty years for several local trucking companies such as Teals, Seaway Motors, Seabury and Burns Express as a computer clerk, retiring in 2003.

She enjoyed Bingo and was a member of the Grace Wesleyan Church in Watertown.

Among her survivors are two sons and two daughters in law, Norman H. and Joy M. Gilbo, Watertown, Jeffrey R. and Pam M. Gilbo, O'Fallon, Missouri; a daughter, Debra M. Gilbo, Sackets Harbor; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren; a brother and sister in law, Kent and Pat Horton, Chaumont; a sister and brother in law, Marianne and Nick Cuppernall, Chaumont; several nieces and nephews.
