Barbara M. Gunn, 74 of County Rte 59 Dexter, passed away Wednesday evening at her home with her family at her side. Barbara was born October 1, 1942 in Auburn, NY the daughter of Edward and Phyllis Pudlo Wawrzazek. She graduated from Auburn High School and SUNY Oswego with a teaching degree. She married Roger W. Gunn on June 29, 1974 at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church in Auburn. Barbara taught at General Brown Elementary School as a 3rd and 5th grade teacher. She was a member of NYSUT, Immaculate Conception Altar and Rosary and Immaculate Conception Church. Barbara is survived by her husband Roger and two children and their spouses: Kathleen and James McKeever of Sackets Harbor and Michael and Amy Gunn of Brewerton. Three grandchildren: Katelynn McKeever, Christian McKeever and Gavin Gunn and a sister Jeanne Gurak of Auburn also survive. Funeral Mass will be Monday 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, Brownville with Fr. Michael Gaffney officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
