Berline "Helen" Miles, 92, passed January 11, 2016 at Samaritan Summit Village where she had been a resident.

A funeral service will be held at the United Presbyterian Church in Sackets Harbor in the spring.  Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Born on February 12, 1923 in Antwerp, NY, daughter of William L. and Sylvia C. Alton LaClair, she attended school in Watertown.

Following school she married William O. Miles on February 17, 1940.

Helen worked at Woolworth's lunch counter, JC Penney's in the Salmon Run Mall and she was a homemaker.

She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Sackets Harbor.

Among her survivors are a daughter and son in law, Beverly and William Jones, Tampa, FL; three sons and their wives, Kenneth and Patricia Miles, Dexter and Fl, Roger and Nancy Miles, Central Square, Everett and Beatrice Miles, Central Square and FL; 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren; two sisters, Charlotte Morey, Central Square; Rosemary ;a sister in law, Mary Edgerly, Alabama; several nieces and nephews.
