Betty E. Heise 86 of Dexter passed away Tuesday evening at 10:50 p.m.at the home of her Daughter and Son-in-law Cynthia and John Doolittle ,Dexter. Betty was born in Dexter on November 17, 1924. The Daughter of Donald K. And Lydia Ella Madrid Young. She attended school in Dexter. She married Raymond B. Heise on July 30,1945 at the Dexter Methodist Parsonage. 1971 she obtained her GED from Watertown High School at the age of 47. She went to work for Par Gas Co, Glen Park in 1973 where she worked as a bookkeeper until her retirement in 1983' Betty was a charter member of the Dexter Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. She held the title of Chief twice during her membership. She was also a member of All Saints Episcopal Church Dexter and St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Brownville. Funeral Services will be at noon Saturday June 11, 2011at Johnson Funeral Home ,Dexter with Father Walter Giles. Calling hours will be 10 to 12 before the funeral on Saturday. Burial will be in the Dexter Cemetery. Donations may be made to Dexter Fire Dept. or Hospice of Jefferson County. Betty is Survived by her Daughter- Mrs. John (Cynthia) Doolittle, Dexter 3 Grand children and 6 Great Grand Children 1 sister - Mrs .Kenneth( Gene) Gould, Watertown She is predeceased by 2 brothers- Keith and Donald Young and 3 sisters-Shirley Leblanc ,Etta Heise and Helen Messina.
