Bonnie Villeneuve, age 62 of Clark Road Sackets Harbor passed away at her home Friday evening. She had been under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County. Bonnie was born March 29, 1946 in Watertown. She was the daughter of Earl and Doris Covey Benway. She attended General Brown High School and married Arthur "Joe "Villeneuve on February 14, 1965 at the Sulphur Springs Methodist Church. The couple has lived in the Sackets Harbor area for the past 35 years and she was employed from 1992 until 2006 when she retired from ill health from Venus Manufacturing of Dexter. She was a machine operator there manufacturing swimsuits. She is survived by her husband and two daughters Mrs. Jeff Sue Allen of Dexter and Tammy Riley of Black River, a son Arthur "Joe" Villeneuve of Dexter , a sister Ellie French and her companion Chas Howard of Evans Mills and brothers William and Mary Benway of Watertown and Donald Benway and companion Mel Desormeau of Watertown. She also has three grandchildren. She was predeceased by her father Earl Benway in 1992 and mother Doris in 1972. She was also predeceased by a sister Ilene Smith in 1991. A memorial service will be held Thursday evening at 8:00 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with Pastor Warren Day of Assembly of God Church officiating. She will be cremated.
