Brian J. Bates, loving son of Robert J. Bates of Chaumont and Neila B. Bates, passed from this life on March 27. Besides his parents, he left two sisters, Penny E. Ebbrecht and Julie A. Ebbrecht; and two children, Bryson and Kamryn. He graduated with honors from Sackets Harbor High School, Potsdam State, and Clarkson College. He married Lynn Wood of Binghamton. He was the former employee of Booze, Allen and Hamilton, Inc., of Parsippany, New Jersey. His body has been blessed and cremated. A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.
