Bruce H. Brown, age 84 of Mullin Rd., Dexter passed away at in the Town of Adams at a relatives home. He had been under the care of Hospice of Jefferson County and family. Bruce was born February 10, 1924 in Adams Center. He was the son of Floyd J. and Bessie A. Murphy Brown Sr. He graduated from Adams Center High School. He married Elma D. Wheeler on March 29, 1945 and she is deceased. He later married Jean Durrant on August 14, 1975. She is also deceased. He was a dairy farmer in the local area and then worked for Lane Construction. He then became a Truck driver for Deluxe Trucking and retired in 1983 from St. Lawrence Freightways. He had lived in Malone area for the past 20 years and moved to Dexter this past year. He was a member of N.R.A. and Teamsters Union and AAA. He is survived by the following sons and daughters- Mrs. Robert Judy Parker of Watertown, Barb Davidson of Watertown, David Brown of New Hampshire, Patrick Brown of Theresa, Bruce Brown Jr. of Arizona, Dick Brown of Texas, Debbie Brown of Texas. Stepchildren surviving are: Cindy Baxter of Watertown, Chris George of Calcium, Kim Oien of Rochester, Bruce Durgan of Pennsylvania, Edwin Durgin of Rochester, Perry Durgin of Rochester, Terri Brown Dickerson of North Carolina and Vincent Brown of Dexter. H is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A daughter Vicki Brown predeceased him as well as brothers Don, Skip and Bob and a sister Edna. There will be no calling hours or funeral. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. He will be cremated. Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Donations may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County.
