Obituary

Cameron Michael Cross, 26, of 23584 Perrigo Road, Black River passed May 6, 2015 at Upstate Medical Center, in Syracuse, following a brief battle with Leukemia.

The funeral service will be held 7 p.m. Monday, May 11th at the Bruce Funeral Home, Black River.

Calling hours will be Monday 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

A private burial will take place at the Black River Cemetery.

Born on July 22, 1988 in Watertown, NY, son of Edith B. Cross and Adam Stafford, he attended Carthage Central High School.

Following school he entered the Army National Guard on January 1, 2008.  While serving he worked as a mechanic.  He was honorably discharged on January 13, 2013 and received the National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and NYS Medal for Humane Services.

He enjoyed fishing, motor sport activities, working on cars and spending time with his daughter, family and friends.

Among his survivors are his daughter, Melissa M. Cross, Harrisville; his mother and step father, Edith B. "Edie" and Maxwell L. Conroy, Black River; his father, Adam Stafford, Watertown; a half sister, Amanda Wagner, Everett, WA; his maternal grandmother, Donna M. Cross, Black River; paternal step grandmother, Alice M. King, GA; an aunt and her husband, Kimberly and Dale Adami, Albany; an uncle, Irving H. Cross, MD and a cousin, Danille Cross, Albany.
