Carl W. Patterson, age 63 of White Road, Watertown; passed away Wednesday afternoon at his home. He had been under the care of his family and Hospice of Jefferson County. Carl was born February 28, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Elias and Wilhelmina Ninham Patterson. He attended schools in Detroit, Canada and Buffalo. He served in the Army from June of 1962 until June of 1964. He married Bonnie M. Hopseker on May 26, 1970 in Baltimore, Maryland. The couple moved to Watertown where he was employed at Novak Welding until becoming self-employed as C.W. Patterson Welding of Watertown. He enjoyed golfing and was a member and played at Willowbrook, Tomacy's, Watertown Golf Club, Carlowden etc. He is survived by his wife Bonnie, a son and his wife Chris A. and Michelle Patterson of Watertown. He has three grandchildren Ashlei, Meghan and Christopher Patterson of Watertown. He also is survived by brothers and sisters: Bruce, Alan and Randy Patterson of Detroit, Michigan, Peggy Ninham of Buffalo, June Leach of New Mexico, Adrienne Mondowe and Janice Patterson both of Branford, Ontario, Canada. He was predeceased by a brother Lee Patterson. Funeral services will be held Saturday 2:00 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with Justin Morris of Parkside Bible Church officiating. Burial will be in Brownville Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday 7-9 P.M. and Saturday 12-2P.M. Donations may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County.
