Carl J. Sullivan, 82, of 145 Park Ave., passed December 4, 2017 at his home.

He was born on August 29, 1935 in Malone, NY, son of Thomas and Elsie (Ferisee) Sullivan.  He graduated from Watertown High School and then received his Associates Degree from Canton ATC.  Following college he served in the US Army National Guard for seven years.

He married Ruth J. Beardmore of Watertown on November 28, 1959, at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church.

Mr. Sullivan was employed at American LaFrance, a fire apparatus manufacturer, before joining Northern Fire Equipment, retiring in 2014.

Among his survivors are his son, Daniel J. Sullivan, Watertown and several nieces and nephews.

His loving wife, Ruth, passed April 8, 2008, a brother, F. Thomas Sullivan and two sisters, Mary Olin and Maureen Moore also died before him.

There will be no funeral or calling hours.  The body will be cremated.  Arrangements are with the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home.
