Catherine E. Knight, age 71 of Dexter passed away early Tuesday morning at Samaritan Medical Center where she had been a patient since Sunday. Catherine was born January 18, 1945 in Watertown the daughter of Earl and Martha Oswell Clark. She graduated from General Brown High School. She worked at Wendy's Restaurant in the Salmon Run Mall as a cook. She was a member of the Dexter American Legion Auxiliary, Dexter Fire Dept. Auxiliary, and the Lil Angels Snowmobile Club of Dexter. She is survived by her companion for 36 years Melvin Walti, a daughter Faith (George) Youngs of Limerick, and sons: D. J. (Colleen) Ellingsworth of Carthage, John (Lori Evans) Ellingsworth of Dexter and Robert ( Shelly) Knight of Missouri. Grandchildren are Ashlea Youngs, Jeremy (Nikki) Youngs, Devon (Sarah) Ellingsworth, Erin Ellingsworth (Lucas Peters), Rachel Ellingsworth, Dylan Ellingsworth. She has 2 great grandchildren Amira Faith Youngs and Emily Elizabeth Peters. She has a sister Sally ( Duke) Snider of Dexter and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Friday 11:00 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7 P.M.
