Charles T. Snyder Jr., 78, of 716 Gilbert St., Watertown, passed July 30, 2016 at his home.

Calling hours will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tues., August 2 at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home 117 N. Massey St., Watertown.   The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.   Burial will then take place at the N. Watertown Cemetery.

He was born on January 29, 1938 in Watertown, the son of Charles T. and Nora (Cody) Snyder Sr.

He married Louise VanNess in 1958.  The couple resided in Watertown where he worked for Black Clawson as a moulder up until the business closed.  He then went to work for Chapin's Watermatics as a machine operator up until he retired.  His wife worked at Bomax and later retired from Ives Hill Retirement Home.

Mr. Snyder was a Life Member of the Watertown Elks Lodge for 32 years and a member of the Sacred Heart Church.

Among his survivors are his loving wife, Louise D. Snyder, Watertown; a son, Charles T. Snyder III, Watertown; a brother and sister in law, Dennis and Joanne Snyder, Watertown; a sister, Joan Deline, FL; a nephew, Dennis Snyder Jr.; two nieces , Betty Jo Snyder and Kelly Snyder and several other nieces and nephews.

His son Robert Snyder passed before him.
