Christine M. Loomis, 42 of Dexter passed away at Upstate Medical Hospital in Syracuse on Sunday evening. Christine was born December 30, 1972 in Watertown the daughter of Clifford Sr. and Linda Loomis. She graduated from General Brown High School in 1992, received an Associate's Degree at J.C.C. in addition to attending Potsdam State. Chris served in the Army Reserves, was a member of American Legion Post 583 (currently serving as Vice-Commander). She was also a member of the Watertown Elks Club and was an avid camper and hunter who enjoyed the outdoors. Most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and her dog Apollo. Chris was the Manager of the meat and seafood department at Hannaford Grocery in Watertown. She married Tasha Kitto on May 8, 2010 in Vermont. She is survived by her spouse Tasha, her father Clifford Loomis Sr. of Chaumont, her mother Linda Loomis of Dexter, a sister Deborah and Sean Haley of Brownville and brother Clifford and Lisa Loomis Jr. of Brownville, her maternal grandmother Mabel Ball of Watertown, her niece's and nephew's Kristin Navarra and her husband David, Brandon Loomis, Matthew and Adam Haley, Ashley, Hannah, Tyler, and Jacob Froedtert. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Chris was love by all. A funeral service will be held Friday September 11th at 11:00 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Calling hours will be Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery. Chris spent countless hours raising money to help those who were battling breast cancer. The family would like to ask, in lieu of flowers, for donations made payable to "Team Twin Peaks". All funds will be used to support the Gouverneur Breast Cancer Assoc.
