Clifford Lyle Bennett Jr., age 71 of County Rte. 59, Dexter passed away Tuesday December 16th at 4:40 a.m. at his home under the care of Hospice and family. Clifford was born November 24, 1943 in Fulton, N. Y. the son of Clifford L. and Grace Hughes Bennett Sr. He attended schools in Brownville and served in the Army. He was a Stock-clerk at P.&C. Foods in Watertown and retired in 1963. He enjoyed hunting, ice fishing and building homemade trailers for people. He was married to Geraldine Wartman on August 14, 1986 at the couples' home. He is survived by his wife Geraldine and three sons: Clifford 3rd of Watertown, Patrick and wife Tamara of Rodman, and Conrad of Dexter. He also has a brother Ken Bennett of Chaumont. There are no calling hours or funeral at this time. Following cremation he will be buried at Dexter Cemetery. Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter.
