Obituary

Constance A. Sayyeau, 87, of 10508 Duck Harbor Road, Chaumont, passed February 23, 2014 at the Jefferson County Hospice Residence.

Born on July 26, 1926, in Watertown, daughter of Fred and Mary Bearden, she attended Watertown High School.

She married Robert Sayyeau on June 15, 1945 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Watertown. He passed in 1978.

Mrs. Sayyeau worked at the A& P Food Store in Watertown as a cashier for over 30 years.

She enjoyed bowling and played in many bowling leagues, was a member of the Northern Choral Society, Trinity Episcopal Church and a member of the choir, life member of the VFW Auxiliary in Hadley, NY and life member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Watertown.

Among her survivors are two daughters and their husbands, Patricia M. and Robert M. Wilder, Chaumont, Robin C. and Thomas Deierlein, Lake Luzerne, NY; a son and daughter in law, Fred D. and Sandra Dykstra Sayyeau, Altona, NY; a sister, Isabelle Otakie, Redwood, NY; 15 grandchildren, several great grand children, nieces and nephews.

A son James Sayyeau, a brother, Daniel Bearden and a sister, Virginia Guinn all passed before her.

Calling hours will be 3-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, Watertown.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28 at the Trinity Episcopal Church.

Burial will take place at the N. Watertown Cemetery in the spring.
