Corabelle "Corky" Mount, age 76 of Three Mile Bay, passed away Tuesday morning at her home. Corky was born November 6, 1932 in Watertown, the daughter of Frank and Martha Wilson Cobb. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1950. Corky married Claude Spencer Mount on July 16, 1950 at the Three Mile Bay Baptist Church. The couple has lived in Three Mile Bay where Corky was Post Master at the Three Mile Bay Post Office until retiring in 1991. Corky was a member of the Three Mile Bay Fire Department Auxiliary where she was treasurer, National League of Post Masters, Three Mile Bay Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, knitting, sewing, crocheting and watching after neighborhood children. Corky is survived by her husband Spencer and six children and their spouses; David and Olga Mount, Dawn and Alan Cuppernell, Lori and Ronald Walker, Kelley and Carl Savage Jr. all of Three Mile Bay, Timothy and Renae Mount and Kris Mount of Dexter. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. nieces and nephews. Corky was predeceased by sisters Marlene Smith and Shirley Ryan and a brother Quentin Cobb. Funeral services will be Friday 11:00 a.m. at the Three Mile Bay Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Pierce, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Three Mile Bay Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter.
