Cory L. Ryan, 43, of 21664 County Rt. 189, Lorraine, NY, passed August 19, 2015 at his home following a courageous battle with brain cancer for the past ten years.

A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, August 23rd at the First Baptist Church 207 State St., Watertown, with the Rev. Jeffrey E. Smith, Pastor officiating.

Born on August 14, 1972 in Watertown, NY, son of James and Joan (Denner) Ryan, he attended South Jefferson High School.

He married Tamara Houghmaster on July 17, 1999 in Watertown.

Cory worked various jobs including snow removal, painting and washing houses and landscaping.

He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed playing darts, mowing his lawn and the outdoors.

Among his survivors are his parents, James and Joan Ryan, Lacona; his wife, Tamara Ryan and her twin daughters from a previous relationship, Jessica and Jodi Baughman; two sons, Cory and Casey Ryan and three daughters, Elizabeth, Hannah and Virginia Ryan all of Lorraine; four brothers and two sisters in law, James and Angel Ryan, Watertown, Shawn and Missy Ryan, Watertown, Joshua Ryan, Lacona, Jeremiah Ryan, Black River; several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are with the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, Watertown.
