David Lamar Clark Sr., 87, of Watertown, New York, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026, at the Samaritan Keep Nursing Home, where he had been a resident.

He was born on April 30, 1939, in Winter Haven, Florida, the son of John and Reather (Jackson) Clark. He graduated from high school in Florida and spent most of his life there. Following school he honorably served in the US Navy for a few years. David was self-employed as a painter for much of his career and also worked for various companies throughout the years. In July of 2023, he moved to Watertown to be closer to family.

David enjoyed both freshwater and saltwater fishing and had a special love for raising wild and domestic animals.

Among his survivors are his children, Gloria (Dave) Wellbrock, Timothy Clark of New Jersey, and Tracy and Pat O’Donnell and Charlene Bledsoe of Winterhaven, Florida and his grandchildren,Alise and Timothy Elliott, Deanna and Jacob Bledsoe and John and Timothy Clark, David and Jessica Clark; 6 great grandchildren, Ariella, Kennadi and Stelynn Elliott and Madison, Emily and Scarlett Cruz; and a sister Darlene Short.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son, David Clark Jr.; and two brothers, Wayne Clark and Kenneth Clark.

Arrangements are with the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home. It was his wish to be cremated, and there will be no services at this time.
