David P. "Dizzy" Shannon, age 46 of Glen Park passed away in the ER at Samaritan Medical Center Tuesday 12:30 a.m. Dizzy was born September 24, 1963 in Alexandria Bay the son of Ralph and Kristina Hansson Shannon. He graduated from Alexandria Bay Central School in 1981. He married Tina L. Moyer on June 29, 1996 in Brownville. He was a Letter Carrier for the US Postal Service in Watertown until becoming ill with heart problems. Dizzy was a member of the Postal Carriers Union, a USA Hockey Coach and enjoyed Hockey, baseball and football, golfing with his Dad and spending time with his family, friends and especially his daughters and granddaughter and coaching his daughters' hockey and softball teams. He is survived by his wife Tina, and daughters Mrs. Eric Amber L. Klusacek, Alicia M. Shannon and Brady K. Shannon all of Glen Park. He has a granddaughter Mikella Klusacek of Glen Park, his father Ralph Shannon and his companion Marge Jacobs of Redwood, brothers an their spouses Ronald and Patricia Shannon of Clifton Park and Michael and Robin Shannon of Redwood. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother Kristina Shannon. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Brownville United Methodist Church with Rev. Patricia Walz officiating. Calling hours will be 3-7 P.M. Friday at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter.
