Obituary

David R. Peer, age 68 of 23487 County Rt. 59, Dexter, died Friday evening at Samaritan Medical Center. David was born January 12, 1942 in Watertown, the son of George "Clinton" and Helen Moulton Peer. He graduated from Watertown High School and served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1960 to 1964. A marriage to Shirley Pyotsia ended in divorce. He was the companion of "Terry" Warner for over 35 years. David worked for N.Y. Air Brake and later was co-owner of the "Village Pub" in Dexter with Terry. He is survived by four daughters, Sheila and Willie Santiago, Shari Daniels, Sharlene and Curtis Hall and Shana Peer all of Ohio. Stepchildren include Robert and Sharon Warner of S.C., Richard and Cindy Warner of Nevada, Ronald and Shermie Warner of Dexter, Raymond and Lori Warner of Dexter, and Rex Warner of Watertown. A sister Bonnie Bearup and many grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers Richard and Charles. A celebration of life will be held today at 4:00 P.M. at his home on Pillar Point. He will be cremated. Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter.
