Donald J. Farr, age 95, of Auburn, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Huntington Living Center of Waterloo, NY. Mr. Farr was born November 8, 1918 in Pamelia, NY. He is the son of the late Fred and the late Eva M. (Dorr) Farr. He was educated at Brownville High School and graduated in 1936. Donald was a dairy farmer from 1941 to 1998 on the Game Farm Rd. Brownville, He also worked at Budlong Lumber, Camp Drum, Charlebois Construction and retired from General Brown Central School after 24 years as a bus driver in 1983. Donald is survived by two children: Richard D. Farr of Little Ferry, N.J. and Penny and David Adam of Auburn. Three grandchildren: Ronald Farr, Jason Adams, and Erin Adams and great grandchildren; Vaughn, Brandon, and Chloe and several nieces and nephews survive him. He was predeceased by brothers Leon, Harold and Eric Farr and sister Helen Burke along with his parents. Funeral services will be held Saturday March 8th at the Johnson Funeral ,Dexter at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Leon VanWie of Asbury United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Brownville Cemetery in the spring. Calling hours will be Saturday from 1:00-3:00 P.M. prior to the service.
