Donald E. Malbouf, age 72 of County Rte 125 Chaumont, passed away at his home Tuesday morning under the care of his family and Hospice of Jefferson County. Donald was born May 9, 1941 in the Town of Wilna the son of Benjamin and Evalena Fenlong Malbouf. He graduated from Gouverneur High School and entered the Army September of 1960 and served until September 1963. Donald was a lineman for the Ft. Drum Telephone division at Ft. Drum until his retirement. He is survived by four sisters and their spouses: Irene and Byron Kenney of Dandridge, TN., Pamela and Daryl Bisio of Redwood, Paula and Timothy Boyle of DePeyster, Jody Streeter of Gouverneur, brothers Walter Malbouf of Ontario, N.Y. and Roger Hutton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was predeceased by sisters Gloria Backus and Patricia Goutremout. A funeral service will be held Friday August 16th at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with the Rev. Toby Schilling officiating at 1:00 P.M. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Natural Bridge.
