Donna E. Hunter, age 59 of Game Farm Road, Dexter passed away Wednesday afternoon at Samaritan Medical Center. She had been admitted the day before.She suffered from acute cardio-respiratory failure. Donna was born February 12, 1948 in Watertown, the daughter of Morris and Ruth Derosier Plato. She graduated from General Brown High School in 1966. She married Peter Hunter on May 23, 1966 at Brownville United Methodist Church. The couple have lived in Brownville all their married lives. She was a Co-Owner of PDH Trucking with her husband Peter. She was a member of Brownville American Legion Auxilary Allen-Giles Post 588. She is survived by her husband Peter and two sons and their wives; Terry and Tammy Hunter of Brownville and Todd and Leigh Hunter of Aninger, North Carolina. She has four grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Patricia Gushlaw in June of 1993. Funeral services will be held Sunday 2:00 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with Rev. Helen Hadley, pastor of Brownville United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 on Saturday. Donations may be made to Brownville Fire Dept.
