Obituary

Doris H. Dillenback, age 85 of NYS Rte 180, Dexter died Wednesday evening 10:50 P.M. at Samaritan Medical Center. Doris was born October 5, 1924 in Taylorville, N.Y. the daughter of Anselm and Minnie Woolschlager Henry. She was educated at Immaculate Heart Academy in Watertown. She married Henry F. Dillenback on August 17, 1946 at Holy Family Church of Watertown. Doris was a secretary for Thousand Islands Redimix in Lafargeville until 1994 when she retired and was also secretary and a partner of J & H Limestone in Limerick. Doris was a member of Immaculate Conception Church of Brownville, Altar and Rosary Society and the Brownville Busy Bee Gees. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking and spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are three children; Judy A. Jewett of Watertown, John and Patti Dillenback of Dexter and Jan and Gary Dano of Schoharie. She has 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She also has sisters and brothers surviving; Helen Allen of Kenmore, Robert Henry of Palmetto, FL., Donald Henry of Bradenton, FL., Patricia VanderBogart of Rome, N.Y., Barbara DeVito of Watertown, William Henry of Oswego, Joan Henry of Watertown and Nancy Lawlor of Glenbrooke, CT. She also has several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Henry on March 26, 1992 and two brothers Harold Henry and Russell Henry. A funeral mass will be held Monday 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church of Brownville with Fr. Kevin O'Brien officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Chaumont. Calling hours will be Sunday from 5-7 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Donations are request to Immaculate Conception Church or Dexter Ambulance Squad.
