Doris Jean Page, 66, of 50 Main St., Philadelphia, NY, passed away July 20, 2018 at the Samaritan Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Arrangements are with the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, Watertown. A private memorial service for immediate family will be held at the Chapel of the Pine at the convenience of the family.
A memorial service for friends and family will be held 11 a.m. Friday July 27 at the Indian River Baptist Church in Philadelphia with the Hon. Roger K. Duvall officiating. A reception will follow the service at the church.
Doris was born on August 25, 1951 in Dodge City, Kansas, daughter of Edward and Evelyn (Schultze) Brumit, she graduated from Dodge City High School in 1969.
Following school she met Thomas L. Page while he was serving in the US Army and stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas. The couple married on June 4, 1972 at the First Baptist Church in Dodge City, KS. Doris became a homemaker and mother of six children. The couple resided throughout the US and overseas while her husband continued his military service. Upon his honorable discharge at Fort Drum the couple settled in Philadelphia, NY in 1985.
She became a Mary Kay consultant for many years and was a cosmetologist out of her home serving friends and family for over thirty years. She was a member of the Acapella North Chorus of the Sweet Adeline's International group, pianist and choir director at the Indian River Baptist Church in Philadelphia, and former auxiliary member of the Philadelphia Fire Department. She enjoyed singing, needle work, photography and spending time with her family.
Among her survivors are her beloved husband of46 years, Thomas L. Page, her six children and their spouses, Jason (Lisa) Page, Maine, NY, Stephanie Page, Phoenix, AZ, Amanda Page, Christa (Travis) Donelson, Benjamin Page and Jacob Page, all of Philadelphia , NY, three grandchildren, Bryan Donelson, Paige Donelson and Kelsey Page, two brothers and their wives, Duane (Rosie) Brumit, Wichita, KS, Chris (Judy) Brumit, Phoenix, AZ, many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the Indian River Baptist Church 42 Main St., Philadelphia, NY 13673 or to the Acapella North Chorus of the Sweet Adeline's International, care of Judy Tidaback, 7835 State Rt. 3 Harrisville, NY 13648.
