Obituary

Emmitt C. Illingworth, age 50 of West 4th St. Oswego died Monday December 22nd. He had been in ill health and was found by his landlord. Emmitt was born December 17, 1958 in Roswell New Mexico. He was the son of Robert and Alice Scott Illingworth. He graduated from Sackets Harbor High School and BOCES for carpentry and general contracting. Emmitt also served in the N.Y. State National Guard and was self-employed working as a carpenter and drywall contractor. He also worked for several various construction companies. He is survived by two children; Nicole Illingworth of California and Emmitt Jr. of Pennsylvania. His mother Alice Illingworth of Watertown, brothers: Darrell of Watertown, Richard of Chaumont, Terry of North Carolina, sisters: Mrs. Roger Annette Mott of Watertown, Mrs. Chris Michelle Kittelson of Watertown and Mrs. Al Rebecca Guarino of Brownville and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive. He was predeceased by his father Robert Illingworth and a brother Robert Illingworth. Funeral services will be Monday evening at 7:00 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with Fr. Kevin O'Brien of Immaculate Conception Church of Brownville officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery in the spring. There will be no calling hours.
