Ethel L. Dunn age 79 of Woolsley Street, Sackets Harbor passed away Saturday evening at her home. Ethel was born November 20, 1932 in the Town of Hounsfield the daughter of the late Earl and Keitha Haggerty Hanson. She graduated from Brownville Glen Park High School in 1950. She married Elmer E. Schultz on May 27, 1951 and divorced March 2, 1964. She married David F. Dunn on January 8, 1983 at Henderson, N.Y. and he passed away August 15, 1990. She was the companion of Hollis Spencer of Sackets Harbor for several years until he passed away in 2001. Ethel worked at King's General Store and Post Office in Limerick for 13 years, Jefferson Bulk Milk and Cheese Store in East Hounsfield for 15 years and owned Dunn Distributing with her husband David until 1992. She retired due to health reasons. She was an active member of Harold Townsend Post 1757 Auxiliary of Sackets Harbor. She is survived by a sister Audrey Schneider and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Lawrence, Basil, Lyle and Paul Hanson and sisters Velma Crump, Alice Carr, Helen Rockwood, Marion Rockwood, Betty Belcher and Dorothy Jennison. Funeral service will be held Thursday 2:00 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Burial will be in Sulphur Springs Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday . Donations may be made to Sackets Harbor Ambulance Fund in her name.
