Eugene (Gene) Morgan Williams 69 years old. Passed away at Samaritan Medical Center on Wed., May 18, 2016. Born February 20, 1947 in Watertown NY to Fred and Vera (Tidd) Williams. Gene was a resident of Jefferson Rehabilitation Center IR 12, living at 227 E. Grove St. Dexter, where he enjoyed many happy years. His family would like to thank all staff at Jefferson Rehabilitation for the love and caring they showed him and his brothers through their last years. Gene was well known in his community. His favorite things were going to the Dexter diner for coffee and seeing his friends, going to Reggie and Diane's farm on weekends, Cattle Auctions, Bowling, Ponderosa Steak House and 5 Below shopping. He also enjoyed his trips to Yankee baseball games. He is survived by his cousins Richard and Audrey Spencer, Ruth Duffany, Reg and Diane Schweitzer, Tom and Cheryl Ashley, Tom and Jeanne Duffany and Gail Farmer. He is also survived by many other cousins, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother, father and brothers G. Edward and Robert. Gene also has a sister, Elizabeth (Betty), address unknown. He attended Dexter Methodist Church for many years. Graveside services will be held at Dexter Cemetery on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
