Eunice A. Weaver, 92, of Watertown, New York, passed away peacefully at her home on September 9, 2024, surrounded by her family and under the care of Hospice of Jefferson County.
Born on June 29, 1932, in Watertown, she was the daughter of Edward and Ida (LaTray) Phillips. Eunice attended St. Patrick's Catholic School. She married Roland Weaver Sr. on September 1, 1950, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. The couple made their home in Watertown, where Eunice worked as a dedicated custodian for over 40 years at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, St. Patrick's School, and the Sisters of St. Joseph.
In her younger years, Eunice enjoyed line dancing and bowling. Following her retirement, she cherished spending time with her friends and family. She was a lifelong Communicant of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Eunice is survived by her son, Timothy E. Weaver, and his wife, Carrie, of Adams Center, NY; three daughters, Ginny Johnston and her husband, John, of Watertown, NY, Debbie Baker of Munnsville, NY, and Brenda Jesmer of Watertown, NY; eight grandchildren, Michael and Jamie Jesmer, Christopher Jesmer, David Ash, John Johnston, Cayla Ross, Cady, Andie, and Charlotte Weaver; one great-grandchild, Brady Johnston; and her sister, Elizabeth Tanner of Watertown, NY. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband, Roland, her son, Ronald M. Weaver Jr.; her son-in-law, Michael Jesmer; three brothers, Edward, Harold, and Sherman Phillips; and her sister, Carol Coryea.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 11, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Hart and Bruce Funeral Home.
A prayer service will take place on Thursday, September 12, at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Entombment will follow at Glenwood Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Eunice's memory may be made to the SPCA or St. Jude Children's Hospital. Online condolences may be left at www.hartandbrucefh.com.
