Eva A. Young, age 96 of West Bradley St., Dexter died early Saturday morning at Samaritan Medical Center. She had been a patient since December 23rd. Eva was born June 18, 1910 in Sackets Harbor, the daughter of George and Edith Washburn Hess. She graduated from Sackets Harbor High School and took secretarial courses at Watertown School of Commerce. She married Paul S. Young January 24, 1933 in Sackets Harbor. The couple lived all their married lives in Dexter where she was a housewife. Mr. Young passed away on December 20, 1984. She is survived by the following children- Shirley D. Sanford of Dexter, Mrs. Lawrence Patricia Adams of Dexter, Joan Young of Dexter, Mrs. Phillip Janet White of Dexter, Mrs. Neil Frances Parks of Rutland, William and Judy Young of Dexter. She has fifteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a brother Gerald Hess of Sackets Harbor and a sister Doris Bevens of Chaumont. She was predeceased by brothers Robert, Harold, Donald, David and Jack Hess and a sister Agnes Radner. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11:00 am at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with the Rev. Helen Hadley, pastor of Dexter United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery. Donations may be made to Dexter United Methodist Church. There are no calling hours.
