Nov , 2011 Evelyn M. Tillson, age 91 of Sackets Harbor and formerly of Pompton Plains, N.J. passed away Friday morning at the home of her son Edward Tillson in Sackets Harbor. Evelyn was born November 24, 1919 in West Patterson, N.J. the daughter of William and Ida Babcock Smith. She graduated from Central High School in Patterson, N.J. She married Edward W. Tillson January 9, 1943 in Patterson. She was a member of Westside Methodist Church of Patterson, N.J. and 1st Reformed Church of Pompton Plains, N.J. The couple lived in Pompton Plains, N.J. most of their married lives where she was a homemaker. Mr. Tillson died in 2006. She is survived by her son Edward and his wife Lora Tillson of Sackets Harbor. She has two grandchildren; Michael and Alisha Tillson of Watertown, N.Y. and Rebecca Tillson and her companion Bryan Dean of Carolina Beach, N.C. She was predeceased by sisters Doris and Mae Smith. A spring burial will be held at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Patterson, N.J. Local arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter.
