Flora J. "Pudgy", Abbass, 71, a resident of Country Manor Nursing and Rehab Center, Carthage, passed June 29, 2015 at the Samaritan Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 3rd at the St. James Catholic Cemetery.

Arrangements are with the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home.

She was born on June 25, 1944 in Edwards, NY, daughter of Nathaniel and Julia (Lawrence) Travis.

She married Joseph L. Abbass of Carthage on January 27, 1963.  The couple resided in Carthage where she worked for the Carthage School District as a lunch monitor and for the Carthage Bowling Alley.

She enjoyed bowling, Bingo, playing dominoes and going to the casino and spending time with her friends.

Among her survivors are her three sons and daughter in law, Joseph D. Abbass, Constantia, NY, David M. and Robin Abbass, Seal Beach, CA, Robert N. Abbass, Venice, FL; four grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters in law, Ted Travis, Chester, SC, Mike and Katherine Travis, Gouverneur, George Travis, Gouverneur; several nieces and nephews.

Her husband Joseph L. Abbass died in 2007.  She also had a brother, Alan Travis and a sister, Barbra Ringler who passed before her.
