Francis G. Goodfriend, age 79 of Three Mile Bay, N.Y. died Wednesday at Mercy of Northern New York where he had been a resident since June of 2006. Francis was born November 20, 1927 in Watertown, the son of Melford and Amy Calhoun Goodfriend. He attended school in Three Mile Bay. He married Aline M. LaBrosse October 17, 1959 in Hopkinton, N.Y. Mrs. Goodfriend passed away June 10, 2004. He owned and operated a farm in Three Mile Bay for several years and was a former member of Three Mile Bay Fire Dept. He is survived by the following children and their spouses: Randy M., Ronald F., Rodney P., Richy M., and Roland M. all of Three Mile Bay, Robby and Penny Goodfriend of Redwood, Mrs. Robert Robin Goutremout of Brownville. He also is survived by a brother Glenn Goodfriend of Sackets Harbor and sisters- Mabel Parks of Adams, Myrtle Rendell of Adams, Doris Briggs of Adams, Betty Aubertine of Brewerton and Helena Hacker of Florida. He also has nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Rusty Goodfriend on February 24, 2001, his brother Kenneth and sisters June Bourcy and Anna Aubertine. Funeral services will be Saturday 6:00 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Fr. Aubin of All Saints Catholic Church of Chaumont will officiate. Burial will be in the spring in New Cedar Grove Cemetery, Chaumont. Calling hours will be Saturday from 4:00-6:00 prior to the funeral. Donations may be made to Three Mile Bay Ambulance Fund.
