Frank A
Coccari
October 24, 1941 – April 30, 2026
Frank A. Coccari, 84, of Watertown, New York, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, at Samaritan Medical Center.
He was born on October 24, 1941, in New Jersey, where he was also raised and educated. Following high school, Frank was drafted into the United States Army, proudly serving his country for two years. He continued his military career with the New Jersey National Guard, serving for 28 years at Fort Drum and retiring with the rank of Major.
After his retirement from the military, Frank worked as a salesman at the PX on Fort Drum until his recent illness. He also dedicated five years as a school crossing guard at North Elementary School, where he became a familiar and friendly presence in the community.
Frank found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. He especially loved Christmas and took pride in decorating his home with the Christmas theme. He cherished time spent at camp at Bedford Creek and enjoyed going for rides in the car. Above all, he adored his pets—his dogs, Nicholas and Snowball, and his cat, Elf.
He is survived by his beloved companion and friend, Flora J. Corey of Watertown.
Arrangements are with Hart & Bruce Funeral Home. In keeping with his wishes, Frank will be cremated, with burial to take place at North Watertown Cemetery at a date and time to be announced.
Donations in Frank’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association. Online condolences may be left at www.hartandbrucefh.com.
