Fred was born October 12, 1950, son of the late Anne and Stewart Paige. He grew up in a loving household in Black River, NY, where he had a memorable childhood and teen years alongside his brother and sisters.
A graduate form Carthage Central High School in 1969, Fred went on to serve four years as a medic in the Military. Upon returning home, he worked as a pipefitter and welder at the DeFeriet Paper Mill for 31 years and later at Rock Tenn for 15 years.
Fred was a lover of music and considered himself Dave Clark Five's biggest fan. He spent his adolescence playing bass in his band, Strawberry Conspiracy alongside his younger brother, Jim Paige. He also loved playing softball and played in a league for several years.
He raised his family in Black River and was a dedicated father. He loved spending time with his family playing whiffle ball, camping, fishing, and cooking out. Fred married Lori Long in 1996 and resided in LaFargeville, and then Sandy Creek where he and his wife have lived for the past 13 years. Together, they have enjoyed playing golf, going to the beach and evenings listening to music and dancing.
Fred was an amazing man who would do anything for anyone without a second thought. He was a hard worker who mirrored his late father's integrity and work ethics. Fred also had a wicked sense of humor and wit and made his wife laugh every single day since the time they met. Most of all, Fred was a family man. He loved his family and made sure that everyone was taken care of. He was an incredible and amazing father, husband, grandfather, son in law, brother in law, uncle and friend. There isn't anyone else like him and he will be in his family and friends hearts forever.
Fred is survived by his loving wife, Lori A. Paige, Sandy Creek; his children, Christina Paige, Raleigh, NC, Mandy Paige- Lovingood and her husband Travis, Raleigh, NC, Jessy Pierce and her husband Joe, Raleigh, NC, Kimberly Galloway, Watertown, five grandchildren, Lawson, Kara, Talan, Trudy and Tori; two brothers and their wives, Gary and Judy Paige, FL, Jim and Dawn Paige, Black River; his sister, Connie Paige, Black River and the late Kathy Paige, Black River.
