Obituary

Frederick C. Bragger, 66, of 303 Mullin St., Watertown, passed January 3, 2015 at the Samaritan Medical Center.

The funeral will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan 7th at the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, Watertown.

Burial with military honors is tentatively set to follow at the N. Watertown Cemetery.

Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 6th at the funeral home.

Born on September 23, 1948 in Watertown, NY, son of the late Paul F. and Syble K. Rollins Bragger, he graduated from Watertown High School in 1967.

He entered the US Army on April 15, 1968 and served in the Vietnam War.  He was honorably discharged on April 14, 1971 and received the Purple Heart, the Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Bronze Service Stars, National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Sharpshooter and Marksman Medals.

He married Denise M. Ferguson on May 13, 1972 in Newport, NY.  The couple resided in Watertown.

Mr. Bragger worked for the Watertown Post Office as a Postal Clerk for thirty five years, retiring in 2006.  Following his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and traveling with his wife.  He was also an avid Yankees fan.

Among his survivors are his loving wife of 42 years, Denise M. Bragger; a son, Paul D. Bragger, Watertown; a daughter and son in law, Nicole A. and David D. Crapser, Watertown; two grandchildren, John F. "Gus" Crapser and Amelia J. Crapser; a brother and sister in law, Jack R. and Mary Bragger, LaGrangeville, NY; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
