Obituary

Frieda M. Mucklewee, age 92 of Three Mile Bay passed away on her 92nd birthday at Samaritan Medical Center. She had been a resident of Samaritan Keep Home for the past year and had been a patient in the hospital 3 days. Frieda was born April 6, 1916 in Limerick the daughter of John Michael and Esty Enders Quencer. She attended school in Limerick and graduated from Chaumont High School as valedictorian at the age of 16 in 1932. She married Donald Dailey in November of 1935 and he died during World War 11. She later married Sherwood R. Mucklewee in July 1951 and he passed away in August of 1969. She was a housewife and also worked as a Nurses Aide at House of Good Samaritan from 1969 until 1985 when she retired. She was a member of 1st Baptist Church of Three Mile Bay, former member of Order of Eastern Star; she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, and reading. She is survived by three children- Robert and Maryln Dailey of Smyrna, Georgia, MaryAnn "Polly" Yott of Three Mile Bay, and James and Marylou Mucklewee of E. Aurora, N.Y. She has 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter, nieces, nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Martin Quencer in 1971 and a sister M. Katherine Lane in 1996. Funeral services will be held Saturday 10:00 a.m. at 1st Baptist Church of Three Mile Bay with Rev. Cramer of Carthage officiating. Burial will be in Three Mile Bay Cemetery in the spring. Calling hours will be held Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Donations may be made to Three Mile Bay Fire and Ambulance Fund.
