Gary L. Plummer, 66, formerly of Midtown Towers, Watertown, passed April 2, 2014 at the Jefferson County Hospice Residence at the Ellis Farm.

There will be no calling hours or funeral service.

A graveside service will take place in the spring at the N. Watertown Cemetery.

Born on May 30, 1947 in Watertown, son of Francis B. and Helen I. LaBreck Plummer Sr., he attended Watertown schools.

He drove tractor trailer in Florida, drove truck for Homestead Dairy, and worked for various contractors in TN, NY and FL. In 1996 he had a stroke and became disabled.

He was a member of the VFW, enjoyed sports, baseball, camping and was a race car fan.

Among his survivors are a son and daughter in law, Timothy and Melissa Plummer, CA; a daughter, Melinda Plummer, NC; a stepson, Terry Augustine, NY; 6 grandchildren; two brothers and their wives, Robert J. and Carol Plummer, Watertown, Richard and Diane Plummer, VA; two sisters, Marjorie McCarthy, FL, Marlene Barrett, TX; several nieces and nephews.

A son, Gary Plummer Jr. passed before in 2009.
