Gay M. Hall, 87, of Watertown, New York, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, at the Hospice Residence of Jefferson County at the Ellis Farm.

She was born October 21, 1938, in Canton, New York, daughter of Lula Denesha. Gay attended Gouverneur Central School. On October 23, 1954, she married Wendell G. Hall. He predeceased her on June 10, 2007.

Gay worked as a school bus driver for the Carthage Central School District for 15 years, retiring in 1989. She also enjoyed spending many happy years in Silver Springs, Florida, with her companion.

Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Roxie G. and Raymond Akins; two grandsons and their wives, Jason and Amanda Akins and Jamie and Jennifer Akins all of Black River, New York; and two great-granddaughters, Gabrielle and Valerie.

Arrangements are with the Bruce Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held in Black River Cemetery on Tuesday, June 2nd at 11 a.m.
